Major disadvantage for Rohit Sharma’s team before India vs Pakistan clash, Dubai traffic causes delay

A loss for Pakistan today means they will bow out of the tournament

Right before the start of the India vs Pakistan (IND vs PAK) clash in the ICC Champions Trophy, Rohit Sharma encountered a major disadvantage. The Men in Blue managed to reach the Dubai Stadium just 35 minutes before the start of the Toss. The reason? Dubai traffic.

Reports from The Indian Express claim that both Pakistan and India team buses were stuck in traffic. But the Men in Green managed to reach the venue a bit earlier. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma and Co managed to reach the venue barely 35 minutes before the start of the toss time.

Nerves, Nerves and Nerves

It is safe to say that arriving late to the stadium didn’t work in favor of India. Arriving late means the players got much less preparation, less warmup, and adapting to the surface. And it was very evident on the very first over of the game. Pakistan won the toss and opted to bowl first.

Mohammed Shami got the new ball. Unlike the previous game where he bagged a wicket on his very first over, it was a stark contrast today. Shami bowled a total of 11 deliveries in total to finish his over. He bowled 5 wides on the very first over of the game.

It remains to be seen how Team India recovers the nerves. Early on in the game, it is still advantageto India. The Men in Blue had won their previous game. But it is a do-or-die encounter for Pakistan who will be out if they lose this game.
