Lucknow Super Giants have decided to ditch their dark blue jersey for maroon and green attire for their upcoming IPL 2024 clash against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The KKR vs LSG match is slated for April 14th, kicking off at 3:30 PM IST.
Why will LSG wear green-maroon jerse?
The decision stems from LSG’s ownership by the RP Sanjiv Goenka Group, also proprietors of the Indian Super League team Mohun Bagan Super Giant.
In a gesture of homage to the prestigious Kolkata football club, which currently holds the title of defending ISL champion, Lucknow management chose to adopt the maroon and green colors. Additionally, reports indicate that KL Rahul and his team are expected to attend Mohun Bagan’s ISL Shield decider the following day.
