Needing 21 in 13 balls, Shahrukh clobbered two sixes and a four to take Punjab Kings over the line. Earlier, Lucknow Super Giants opted to bat first and made a steady start with KL Rahul scoring his first fifty of the IPL season. However, the Punjab Kings roared back with timely wickets to restrict the Lucknow side to a modest total of 159/8. Kagiso Rabada and Arshdeep Singh, along with spinners Harpreet Brar and Sikandar Raza, were among the wickets.

Chasing a target of 160, Punjab Kings lost early wickets. But, an impressive show from all-rounder Sikandar Raza (57) kept the team in the hunt.
Raza hit four boundaries and three sixes in his match-winning knock and also picked up a wicket with his spin bowling. Matthew Short’s 22-ball 34 also played a crucial role in the victory.
Lucknow Super Giants’ bowlers fought back hard, with Krunal Pandya, and Ravi Bishnoi among the wickets. However, it was not enough to stop Punjab Kings from securing a hard-fought win.
