Let’s take a look at the brothers who have featured in the Indian Premier League.

Hardik and Krunal Pandya

Hardik and Krunal Pandya are among the few siblings who have represented the same franchise. They both played for the Mumbai Indians (MI) until the IPL season of 2021. Both brothers joined new franchises in the IPL 2022, with Hardik going to the Gujarat Titans (GT) as their skipper and Krunal joining the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

They also shared their journey to the top in a video posted by the official Twitter handle of Gujarat Titans captioned, ‘The Pandya Derby. Bhai-valry Returns! What weabout the Pandya Brothers is that they never stop dreaming! Before the face-off tonight, we made them share their fascinating journey once again!’

Ahead of the Lucknow Super Giants vs Gujarat Titans clash on Tuesday, May 10, Krunal shared a photo of Hardik’s son Agastya wearing the jersey of Lucknow Super Giants on his official Twitter account captioned, ‘Got my lucky charm on my side for tomorrow’s game @hardikpandya7′

Irfan and Yusuf Pathan

The Pathan brothers have played in the IPL since its inception in 2008. Irfan began his career with the Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings), while Yusuf played with the Rajasthan Royals (RR) during their title-winning season. In 2012 and 2014, he was a member of the Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) winning teams. Both have now retired from all forms of cricket.

Michael and David Hussey

The Hussey brothers have also been a part of IPL since the inaugural season. Michael Hussey began his career with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and afterward represented MI, while David Hussey represented KKR, Punjab Kings (PBKS), and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Michael is currently CSK’s batting assistant coach, and David is KKR’s mentor.

Albie and Morne Morkel

The Morkel brothers have also been part of IPL winning teams. Morne Morkel was part of the winning team with KKR in 2014, while Albie Morkel won the IPL trophy twice with CSK in 2010 and 2011. Both in the IPL and with the South African cricket team, they have been a big success.

Shaun and Mitchell Marsh

Shaun Marsh spent his entire IPL career with PBKS. He was signed by PBKS in 2008 and played for them till 2018. Mitchell Marsh, his younger brother, began his IPL career with the Deccan Chargers in 2010 before moving to the Pune Warriors India the following season. Rising Pune Supergiants signed him in 2016 before he joined Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in 2020. Mitchell is with the Delhi Capitals right now (DC).

Brendon and Nathan McCullum

Brendon McCullum was also a part of the winning IPL team. With the KKR, he won the IPL 2012 trophy. McCullum has also played for CSK, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Kochi Tuskers Kerela, and Gujarat Lions. Nathan, his older brother, played for the Pune Warriors India and Sunrisers Hyderabad franchises.

Tom and Sam Curran

Tom Curran made his IPL debut with KKR and has also played for RR and DC. Due to a lower back injury, he was forced to miss the ongoing IPL 2022 season. Sam Curran began his IPL career with PBKS and currently plays for CSK. Sam was also injured and is not playing in the IPL 2022.

Deepak and Rahul Chahar

RR picked Deepak Chahar in 2016 and he later represented Rising Pune Supergiants. He is now with CSK, however owing to a back ailment, he has been ruled out of the IPL 2022 season. On the other hand,  Rahul Chahar made his IPL debut in 2017 with the Rising Pune Supergiants and was afterwards bought by MI. He is currently a member of the PBKS.

Darren and Dwane Bravo

Deccan Chargers picked Darren Bravo in 2012, but he was unable to play due to national duties. Later in 2017, he was picked by KKR and played just one match. Dwayne Bravo was picked by MI for the first three seasons. He afterwards joined CSK and is still a member of the franchise.
