LSG vs DC Highlights: Rishabh Pant & Kuldeep Yadav light Lucknow Super Giants on fire at Ekana

This is just the second win of the IPL 2024 season for the Delhi Capitals.

LSG vs DC Highlights: The Delhi Capitals have registered a win at last. After claiming just one win from their five matches, the Rishabh Pant-led side has tasted victory once again. Chasing 168 at the usually low-scoring Ekana Cricket Stadium, the Capitals made short work of the target, winning the match with 6 wickets in hand and 11 balls to spare.

Pant’s on fire

Another masterful inning by Rishabh Pant. The wicketkeeper ended his 41-run knock with the highest strike rate for the Delhi Capitals. Making his return, Pant rolled back the years with his trademark reverse scoop. He had hit the same shot against the legendary James Anderson in 2021 and did so again, marking his official comeback. However, his biggest achievement was getting to 3000 IPL runs, being the quickest to do so (2028 balls).

Kuldeep Yadav spins a web around LSG

After missing three matches, arguably the world’s best all-format spinner, Kuldeep Yadav, made a spectacular return. The left-arm wrist spinner claimed a 3-fer by sending LSG skipper KL Rahul, Nicholas Pooran (on a golden duck), and Marcus Stoinis back to the hut. With their X-factor back, Rishabh Pant and Co. registered their second win of the season.

Debut to remember for Jake Fraser-McGurk

Another talented youngster impresses in IPL 2024. The swashbuckling batter smashed the joint-most runs (55) in the match and hit seven boundaries (2 fours and 5 sixes) on his way to his maiden IPL fifty. Replacing another Aussie in Mitchell Marsh, the 22-year-old made sure he didn’t make the all-rounder’s absence felt.

Ayush Badoni saves LSG

77/5 was the score when Badoni entered the field. With a little over 10 overs left, the finisher scored 55 of just 35 balls and helped his side get to a par total of 167. The 24-year-old showed maturity beyond his age as he constructed a record-breaking 73-run stand with Arshad Khan.
