Moeen Ali to make the Playing XI – England star all-rounder Moeen Ali wasn’t available for the opening contest against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) due to visa issues. However, he has arrived in time to be available for the second match. One of the best performers for CSK in their title winning season last year. His ability to contribute with both bat and ball should see him give a different dimension to the team. With only four foreigners allowed in Playing XI, he is all set to replace Mitchell Santner against LSG.

“There are new players in the camp, will need to find the right combination. The Wankhede pitch was full of pace while Brabourne stadium will be a different challenge altogether. All teams are good and full of energy so can’t underestimate any opponents,” Stephen Fleming said.

Chris Jordan recovering, but not expected to play – While Moeen Ali is available, Chris Jordan is still not match-fit for CSK to play against LSG. The England star continues to work hard, but will have to wait for his turn before being available.

Dwayne Bravo to reach milestone – Dwayne Bravo is on the cusp of writing history as he will enter the field with a piece of milestone on his radar. In the match against KKR he equalled Lasith Malinga’s record for highest wickets in IPL history having scalped 170 wickets. If he is successful in getting one more, he will get past the legendary Mumbai Indians player to write his name in the history book.

Jadeja’s litmus test – While it wasn’t the best of starts for Ravindra Jadeja’s captaincy rein, he will be optimistic about his team’s chances.  A win should be be a good remedy for him and his team as CSK try to get out of the MS Dhoni leadership shadow.
