- Quinton de Kock is a guaranteed starter while Jason Holder also brings in all-round depth.
- Evin Lewis and Andrew Tye are the two other foreign players. One of them will have to be dropped.
- Andrew Tye is only other bowler apart from Avesh Khan as a death overs specialist.

No place for Manish Pandya – However, Stoinis’ return will also mean that Manish Pandey will continue an extended period on the bench. He was dropped from the Playing XI after three poor performances with Krunal Pandya getting in as an all-round option.
K Gowtham to keep place – The other Karnataka player Krishnappa Gowtham is likely to keep his place as he offers the off-spin bowling besides handy batting down the order. Gowtham bowled well on his debut taking a wicket for just 23 runs in his four overs against Delhi Capitals.
