What a performance by Mayank, oh, sorry, Suryakumar Yadav. The right-hander shocked everyone with his speed of bowling and strike rate. Confused? Well, join the club. Earlier on Thursday, Suryakumar scored an incredible 50. But did he? Or was it Mayank that lit up Wankhede?
For those who aren’t aware, fans have been claiming that Mayank and Suryakumar Yadav are the same person. Want an example? Mayank played his first two matches on March 30 and April 2, when Surya was injured. Surya then returned on April 7 for the afternoon game and scored 0 while Mayank got ‘injured’ on the same day in the night match. On April 11, Surya played his second game while Mayank was out injured. Coincidence? I think not!
LSG finally reveals the ‘truth’
The Lucknow Super Giants have finally come out with the truth. The Yadav’s (Suryakumar and Mayank) are one and the same. The franchise lauded their player for scoring a 17-ball fifty and appreciated his 157-kmph thunderbolts as well.
When will we see the player next, you ask? Well, that depends. For LSG, ‘Mayank Yadav’ won’t be available for the next two matches against the Delhi Capitals on April 12 and the Kolkata Knight Riders on April 14. Whereas, Mumbai Indians’ ‘Suryakumar Yadav’ will be available for their next clash on, you guessed it, April 14, the supposed time when ‘Mayank’ would be injured.
