LSG beat KKR Highlights: Chasing 211 to stay alive in the competition, KKR got off to the worst possible start with Venkatesh Iyer and debutant Abhijeet Tomar both falling to Mohsin Khan with KKR just 11/2 in 3 overs. However, Nitish Rana took the attack to Avesh Khan and built a strong partnership with captain Shreyas Iyer as they raced to 60 in the first six.
Rana eventually perished with Krishnappa Gowtham scalping him a fine 42. However, Iyer and Sam Billings kept the scoreboard ticking, taking KKR past the 100-run mark in the 11th over. Captain Shreyas was particularly hard on spin and scored a brisk half-century, before holding out in the deep in a bid to accelerate the scoring. Billings soon followed, with the onus on Andre Russell as KKR needed 67 off the last four overs.
However, it was not to be from the big man tonight as he departed for five of 11 balls, with Mohsin Khan picking his 3rd, in a fine spell of 3/20. When the game seemed done and dusted, Sunil Narine and Rinku Singh launched a late onslaught to keep them in the hunt.
Needing 21 off the final over, Rinky hit the first three balls for 16 but perished when KKR needed 3 from 2. Stoinis sealed the deal by knocking over Umesh Yadav of the final delivery to clinch the win that confirmed their place in the playoffs. KKR meanwhile were knocked out.

The duo plundered the highest opening partnership in the history of IPL, with De Kock slamming a magnificent 140 off just 70 balls.
Having got to his fifty in 36 balls, the Proteas superstar shifted gears, particularly taking a toll on Tim Southee and Andre Russell to score the 3rd highest individual score ever in IPL history. Rahul also went past 500 runs for the season for the fifth consecutive time and remained unbeaten on 68 off 51.
De Kock slammed 10 fours and 10 sixes in a whirlwind innings to get Lucknow past the 200-run mark, almost singlehandedly sealing their playoff spot. It was his 4th 50+ score in the last five innings against KKR, and the highest by a South African in the IPL, going past AB de Villiers’ 133 not out.
