Meanwhile, Galle Titans completed an excellent win over Dambulla as they were a better team in all three departments of the match. After being invited to bat first, Galle Titans lost Lasith Croospulle for a mere 3 runs off 5 balls, but Shevon Daniel and Bhanuka Rajapaksa adopted an aggressive approach and provided the Titans with a brisk start. By the end of the powerplay, they had managed to post a score of 55/1.

The middle overs were dominated by Dambulla. However, Dasun Shanaka paired up with Lahiru Samarakoon, and the skipper unleashed his inner fury on the bowlers at the cue end of the innings. Shanaka smashed 42 runs off just 21 balls and helped the Titans cross the 180-run mark.
