On December 12, Mumbai Indians (MI) revealed their new jersey for the upcoming IPL 2025 season. The five-time champions have stuck to their iconic blue and gold colours but added a fresh element by including the initials “MI” on the shirt. While some fans praised the design, others felt it lacked creativity, leading to mixed reactions on social media. Some fans even compared it to another IPL franchise, the Delhi Capitals (DC).
New partners for Mumbai Indians
The team also introduced a new principal sponsor for the season. Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation, earlier known as L&T Switchgear, has replaced the previous sponsor, Slice. Lauritz Knudsen, a well-known name in India’s electrical and automation industry and part of the Schneider Electric group, will have its logo featured on the front of the Mumbai Indians’ official jersey and training gear.
The Mumbai Indians spokesperson expressed excitement about this collaboration, saying, “We are thrilled to welcome Lauritz Knudsen as our principal partner. This partnership reflects shared values of innovation and performance, both on and off the field. Together, we aim to continue delivering excellence for our fans worldwide.”
