Bumrah then returned for T20Is against Australia in September but his injury resurfaced. The 29-year-old was included in the squad for the home series against Sri Lanka but was later ruled out after his injury resurfaced at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.
The 29-year-old then underwent successful surgery on his lower back in New Zealand during the second week of April. Bumrah was advised to rest for six weeks and now it seems the pacer is back to training.
