“Banned” Paul Pogba on his way to football pitch

While Kohli’s next target is the high-octane Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT), Pogba’s footballing journey has taken an abrupt turn. The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner has been sidelined since September 2023 due to a lengthy suspension. He was initially stung with a four-year suspension from all football-related activity, but has seen that sanction reduced to 18 months on appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

Despite the setback, Pogba remains optimistic about his future. He has been active on social media, expressing his eagerness to return to the pitch. While his suspension will end in March next year, speculation surrounds his next club and potential return to top-flight football. With his contract at Juventus extending until 2026, there’s speculation about a potential early termination, which could pave the way for a move to a new club as a free agent.
