LLC 2023: In a sweet gesture, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi respectfully gave an autograph to a fan o the Indian flag, the video of which went viral on social media. Afridi is currently playing for Asia Lions in the Legends League Cricket. The incident happened during Asia Lions’ travelling on Saturday after defeating India Maharajas in the LLC Eliminator match in Doha. Afridi had just got on the team bus when a fan came up to him with an Indian flag and asked for an autograph.

In a video posted to Cricket Pakistan’s Twitter handle, a fan came to Afridi and asked him for an autograph on the Indian flag. The former Pakistani skipper reverently held the Indian flag and signed an autograph to the fan, who came back with a smile on his face. The video quickly went viral on social media as the fans were deeply impressed by Afridi’s sweet gesture.
Asia Lions recorded a stunning 85-run victory over India Maharajas in the Eliminator match of Saturday’s Legends League Cricket match. The Shahid Afridi-led side opted to bat first and posted a total of 191/5 in 20 overs after Upul Tharanga hit 50 off 31 balls and Mohammad Hafeez scored 38 off 24 balls.
Later, Sohail Tanvir, Abdur Razzak and Hafeez scalped two wickets each as the Maharajas were bundled for 106. Afridi not only led his side to the final of the tournament, but also won millions of hearts with his loving gesture to a fan.
Speaking of the game, India Maharajas was 85 runs short as none of the batters broke the 40-run mark. Skipper Gautam Gambhir scored the highest with 32 runs off 17 balls. Earlier, Stuart Binny and Pragyan Ojha scalped two wickets while Pravin Tambe scalped one wicket. With this victory, Asia Lions has qualified for the final of the Legends League Cricket and will face World Giants in the top battle on Monday.
