The Champions Trophy 2025 is set to entertain cricket enthusiasts from February 19 in Pakistan. After overcoming various hurdles, the tournament will be held in a hybrid model, with India’s matches taking place in Dubai. As the defending champions and host nation, Pakistan will compete against seven of the world’s top teams in their quest to retain the title.

Hasan Ali was awarded the ‘Player of the Tournament’ in the Champions Trophy 2017. He has taken 13 wickets in the season and also scored runs. In India’s title, Shikhar Dhawan was exceptional with 363 runs in five matches. Jacques Kallis will be awarded in the inaugural season of the tournament.
Ricky Ponting and Chris Gayle have also received the award. Interestingly, when India and Sri Lanka shared the title of Champions Trophy 2002, no one was given the ‘Player of the Series’ award.
