Lasith Malinga Daughter: New Lankan batter in town? Lasith Malinga readies daughter for cricket, gives her batting tips in the training session
Malinga in Melbourne Cricket Coaching: Malinga had already retired the ODI and Test formats but continued to play in T20 Internationals in an effort to make the T20 World Cup roster. The 38-year-old also declared his retirement from the shortest format as it was established that he had no position in the side. He is now working with the academy to help young Australian bowlers reach their full potential. He will be coaching at the academy for a period of six weeks.
He had a lesson with his daughter, who was spotted learning to drive the balls straight, while also coaching the young Australian players and aspiring pacers in the nets.

Malinga had a devastating yorker in his arsenal that claimed the wickets of several top-tier batters, as if his extremely slingy action, pace, accuracy, and swing weren’t already lethal enough. He left the game as one of the best limited-overs bowlers ever, and he is rightfully lauded as the archetype for any bowler hoping to succeed in the dying overs.
In his 310 limited overs international matches, Lasith took 445 total wickets (including both ODIs and T20Is). The Sri Lankan is well-known in the IPL while leading the Mumbai Indians bowling lineup for ten years. He participated in 110 IPL games in total, taking 170 wickets.
He is the only bowler in the history of international cricket to have captured three ODI hat tricks and two wickets off four consecutive balls. Malinga has led the Sri Lankan cricket team in the T20 global championship as well. Lasith has won four IPL trophies and two T20 World Cups. Malinga most recently had success as a coach for the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2022.
