For Lahore Qalandars, Fakhar Zaman has scored the bulk of runs. He is the highest-run scorer of this edition, having accumulated 521 runs in nine games, that includes a century. He became only the third man to score 500 runs in a single edition of the PSL and needs only 13 more runs to become the highest-run scorer in a single edition of the league. Apart from Fakhar, the team also has Harry Brook who slammed a terrific century in the team’s last outing against Islamabad United. Lower down the order, David Wiese has also shined well with the bat. The other batsmen like Mohammed Hafeez, Phil Salt and Kamran Ghurram need to step up.
One of the big task for Peshawar Zalmi bowlers would be to stop Fakhar Zaman from scoring big. Only once has the batsman been dismissed for a single digit, whoch was against Karachi Kings this year. The bowling line-up lead by Wahab Riaz will look to take him out early on as he is a big threat.
For Peshawar Zalmi. wicketkeeper Mohamad Haris has emerged as the best batter. In just three games, the youngster has score 158 runs at an average of 50. The opener has slammed 70 runs in Peshawar’s last game. He will look to continue his form against Lahore, going into the playoffs. Shoaib Malik and Ben Cutting too have impressed with the bat. Lahore bowling line-up will be dented with the absence of Rashid Khan who has cut short his PSL stint to join the national team. Lahore is expected to bring in Fawad Ahmed as his replacement. Both the teams, despite having qualified to the playoffs will approach this game with seriousness and play with full-strength as they will be keen to win this one and carry forward the momentum into the playoffs. One can expect a high-scoring contest.
