The India Cricket Team clinched a sensational 3-0 series win over Bangladesh, but it was Sanju Samson who stole the show with his majestic century. The keeper batter went on to slam his maiden T20I ton and after the match went on to reflect on the same. Samson in the previous series failed to perform and managed dual ducks. So he was unsure as to what would happen next.
But Samson praised the team and the management for continuing their trust in him. He claimed that despite two ducks against Sri Lanka, the team decided to trust him and give him a chance in the IND vs BAN series. And thus he happily decided to return a smile to his captain and coach.

“In the last series I got two ducks and went back to Kerala thinking, “kya hoga bhai,” but they backed me in this series and I am very happy that I gave something to smile for my captain and coach. (On his victory punch) It has a long story. I have been trying to do something like this (five sixes in an over) from last one year. I was chasing it and it happened today,” said Sanju Samson after the match.
Knows how to deal with failures
Life hasn’t been smooth sailing for Sanju Samson, and thus the ace hitter has had his fair share of failure. And Samson has acknowledged that. After his century, Samson underwent a strong retrospection, in which he understood and claimed that he now knew how to handle the pressure.
“The dressing room energy and the boys really have lots of happiness for me. I am very happy. They are happy that I did well. It can get frustrating knowing what you can do out there and the way I have been batting, I thought that could have done much better. Those thoughts keep coming in your head. With lot of experience and so many games I have played, I know how to deal with the pressure and failures. I have failed a lot, so I know how to manage my mind accordingly,” said Sanju.
