Although Ravindra Jadeja has been given a clean bill of health for the IND vs ENG 3rd Test, fans are still around about his fitness. Having suffered a hamstring injury during the first Test in Hyderabad, the all-rounder was potentially ruled out for three to eight weeks.
However, after just two weeks, Jadeja is fit and firing. His quick recovery is a testament to the prowess of BCCI’s medical staff at the NCA and the athlete’s supreme abilities. Ahead of the third Test in Rajkot, his teammate Kuldeep Yadav has all but confirmed that Ravindra Jadeja will play.
“I think so. He did his routine and had a session yesterday too,” said the left-arm wriest spinner in the pre-match press conference in Rajkot.
With no Kohli or KL, Ravindra Jadeja is a must for India
With two experienced batters, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul, already out of the India vs England 3rd Test, the India cricket team needs its most valuable player. In India, Ravindra Jadeja works as a full batter and bowler. Having him in the side provides Rohit Sharma with multiple options.
Jadeja, alongside Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel, gives Team India a better batting and bowling lineup. His inclusion also helps India to fit in an extra batter or bowler to further strengthen the side.
His experience also adds immense value. With no Kohli and Rahul in the batting department and Mohammed Shami as a bowling spearhead, the all-rounder’s 15-year international experience will help Rohit Sharma.
