When IPL 2024 is nearing its end, Heinrich Klaasen’s 63 from 29 balls will be remembered for sure. The South African almost took SRH to an improbable win chasing a massive 209-run target, vs KKR on Saturday. Hitting eight sixes only, Klaasen was just unstoppable right from the word go, when the going was difficult for his team.
Needing almost 90 from the last five overs, Klaasen did not lose hope, and combined well with Shahbaz Ahmed, who played his part too, with 16 from five balls, hitting a couple of sixes as well.
Most Expensive Starc Taken to the Cleaners
In the penultimate over of the match, Klaasen hit Mitchell Starc for three sixes, that changed the entire complexion of the match, as eventually 26 runs were scored in those six balls. That effort brought SRH tantalisingly close to the finish line, but his dismissal in the last over meant that the team fell short by four runs only.
