Lucknow Super Giants captain and India’s classy opener, KL Rahul, visited the famous Bappanadu Sri Durga Parameshwari Temple in Mangaluru, where he offered prayers before making his comeback to the national team. India is set to tour Sri Lanka later this month, and KL Rahul, who has been out of the team for a while, will look to make his mark, especially in ODI cricket, which is considered his strong suit.
Rahul had an incredible outing with the bat in the 2023 ODI World Cup, but since then, he hasn’t played many matches, apart from the South Africa tour, where his century in the first Test match is still remembered by many.
Visited temples many times before crucial tours
This is not the first time we have seen KL Rahul take blessings before important games. The stylish opener has been seen with his family many times before IPL 2024; he also visited Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain for the ‘Bhasma Aarti.’ After the ceremony, he sought blessings and received garlands as Prasad. Also, last year, in 2023, before the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, he once again returned to Ujjain for blessings. Rahul has been known to follow these rituals before every important tour.
