According to several media reports, Virat Kohli reportedly gifted Rahul a BMW car worth Rs 2.17 crore, MS Dhoni presented Rahul with a Kawasaki Ninja bike worth Rs 80,00,000. Apart from the cricketing fraternity, several Bollywood actors also gave several expensive gifts to the newlywed couple.
Athiya’s father, actor Suniel Shetty, gifted them a luxurious apartment in Mumbai which is worth Rs 50 crore. On the other hand, actor Salman Khan, who is a close friend of Suniel Shetty, gifted Athiya an Audi car worth nearly Rs 1.64 crore.
With the Test series against Australia starting on February 9, it seems highly unlikely that Rahul and Athiya will go on honeymoon. While there is no official announcement yet from the couple, the India opener is ready to begin training sessions and prepare for the Australia series once he reaches Mumbai.
- The Australia tour of India will conclude on March 22. After four Test matches, the two teams will also play three ODIs.
- After the Australia series, Indian players will be having a rest for 10 days before IPL 2023 season begins on March 31.
