Another catch dropped!

And there you go, Travis Head has also dropped a catch. It was the easiest of the lot as Shreyas Iyer survived once again. Iyer gave away an easy catch at point to Head. But he drops the simplest of catches.

Shreyas survives!

Nothing is going right for Hyderabad. Heinrich Klaasen almost had Shreyas Iyer’s catch. But a collision with an on-rushing Rahul Tripathi means the catch is spilt. Shreyas Iyer survives.

KKR 98/2 after 9.2 overs

Iyer on song!

Venkatesh Iyer has taken charge of the chase. He is going at over 180 strike rate and Hyderabad need to get rid of him as soon as possible.

KKR 85/2 after 8 overs

Narine gone!

Pat Cummins has struck after the powerplay and it’s the big fish Sunil Narine who departs for 16-ball 21. There is still hope for Hyderabad.

KKR 67/2 after 6.2 overs

KKR on top after powerplay

Sunil Narine took a blow to the head but bounced back nicely against Natarajan. Kolkata are now way ahead and need just 97 runs in 84 balls to make the IPL 2024 Final.

Southpaws scoring heavily

Venkatesh Iyer has already scored 12 (8) and isn’t looking to slow down either. On the other end, Sunil Narine is also scoring rapidly.

Natarajan strikes!

The bowling change has worked wonders. Gurbaz departs for 23 (14) as Sunrisers Hyderabad get their first breakthrough.

KKR: 44/1 after 3.2 overs.

Pat pumped by Gurbaz & Narine

Pat Cummins has been taken for 20 runs in his first over. Not the start, the Sunrisers Hyderabad captain, while defending just 160.

KKR: 26/0 after 2 over.

Gurbaz goes for his shots

Nice start for the Kolkata Knight Riders; they have started things with great intent. The scoreboard might not reflect that, but Gurbaz really went for his shots in the first over.

KKR: 6/0 after 1 over.

4th final for KKR?

Kolkata Knight Riders have played two Qualifier 1 (2012 and 2014) and have a 2-0 record in them. Can they make it 3-0 today and reach their 4th IPL final?

9 down!

Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s 4-ball ordeal is over. Varun Chakaravarthy traps him LBW to make it 9.

SRH 126/9 after 15.6.

Tripathi run-out!

Error in judgment or fantastic fielding? Andre Russell stops guaranteed two runs with a diving effort but in two-minds, Rahul Tripathi sacrifices himself. Tripathi played a brilliant knock of 35-ball 55 but he will be ruing that mistake.

SRH 121/6 after 13.2.

End of Klaasen

KKR have a breakthrough. And it’s Varun Chakaravarthy who breaks the stand. Heinrich Klaasen went for the big one but could not time properly. Rinku Singh takes an easy catch and Klaasen falls.
