Riley Meredith is known to generate terrific pace and the speedster was bought by the Mumbai Indians at the auction this year for his base price of 1 crore. He didn’t feature in both the games that Mumbai had played so far. Speaking to MI TV, when asked with which bowler he wishes to hunt the opposition in pair, Meredith replied, “It’s hard to look past Bumrah, Obviously having the opportunity to bowl with him few times in the nets have been pretty special. He is a great player and he is happy to share some tips with me which is very nice.”

He featured in the Indian leg of the tournament and took four wickets in five games. With the Mumbai Indians this year, he hasn’t got the opportunity so far as pacers Tymal Mills and Daniel Sams were selected ahead of him.
Known to bowl over 140 kph consistently, Meredith and Bumrah might form a good pace-bowling duo for Mumbai Indians and it might be a combination that the team will look to try in the upcoming games. MI next faces Kolkata Knight Riders on 6th April at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.
