IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) stars Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Lockie Ferguson, and Jason Roy have signed up with the Los Angeles Knight Riders (LAKR) for the inaugural season of the Major League Cricket (MLC). The team on Tuesday announced their squad for the debut season, and has included many high profile players including Adam Zampa, Martin Guptill, and Rilee Rossouw.

Former Indian cricketer Unmukt Chand, who took early retirement to play for USA, is also part of LAKR squad.
Jason Roy, who recently terminated his ECB incremental contract to pursue cricket in the MLC, had also been a replacement player for KKR in the IPL 2023.
New Zealand pacer Lockie Ferguson, who returned to KKR before IPL 2023, has also joined the team.
Meanwhile, Andre Russell and Sunil Narine have had a long relationship with the Knight Riders brand. Besides KKR and LAKR, they also represent Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in the Abu Dhabi T10 League (ILT20).
“We have assembled a strong and talented team for the debut season of MLC, who can compete at the highest level and bring joy to cricket fans around the world,” Knight Riders CEO Venky Mysore said in a statement.

LAKR squad: Ali Khan, Bhaskar Yadram, Corne Dry, Nitish Kumar, Saif Badar, and Shadley Van Schalkwyk, Jaskaran Malhotra, Ali Sheikh, Unmukt Chand, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Lockie Ferguson, Adam Zampa, Martin Guptill, and Rilee Rossouw.
The MLC 2023, a six-team event, is scheduled to take place from July 13 to 30 at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas, Texas.
