Kolkata Knight Riders virtually seal the IPL 2024 Playoffs berth

KKR have lost only three out of their eleven matches—against the Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings, and Chennai Super Kings.

Kolkata Knight Riders’ have not only topped the IPL 2024 points table but also nearly sealed their playoff spot. After thrashing Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana, Shreyas Iyer and co. would be flying high. A 98-run victory has boosted their net run rate (NRR) and seen them take over the Rajasthan Royals.

How can KKR qualify for the IPL 2024 Playoffs?

Winning 8 out of their 11 matches played until now, all the Kolkata Knight Riders need is one more victory to seal a final four position. Last season, the four teams that qualified scored 20, 17, 17, and 16 points, respectively. Keeping this in mind, KKR has already done enough, but just one more win would confirm their playoff spot.

They have two easy fixtures ahead of them. They’ll face the Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans next, teams who are placed 10th and 9th and could easily have 20 points to their name with one fixture still left.
