KKR beat SRH in IPL 2021 – Nitish Rana, Rahul Tripathi stars as Kolkata Knight Riders registers their 100th IPL win: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) put up an all-round performance to beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 10 runs in the 3rd match of the IPL 2021 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday. Powered by Nitish Rana’s 80 off 57 and Rahul Tripathi’s 53 off 29, Eoin Morgan’s KKR set 188-target. Pat Cummins and Prasidh Krishna with some good bowling helped KKR win the match, despite half-centuries from Manish Pandey and Jonny Bairstow.
KKR beat SRH in IPL 2021 – Prasidh Krishna & Pat Cummins took crucial wickets: Defending about 20 fewer than what they looked good for, the Knight Riders’ fast bowlers produced the big wickets and their spinners stifled the Sunrisers Hyderabad batsmen to seal the game. After Prasidh Krishna got David Warner early, Jonny Bairstow revived the Sunrisers chase with a 40-ball 55, but Pat Cummins got him out in the 13th over to leave Manish Pandey with a tall ask of getting 86 off the last seven. Pandey couldn’t despite an Abdul Samad cameo at the end.

After Gill was dismissed in the 7th over, Rana anchored the innings with Rahul Tripathi with both scoring quick runs to put SRH on the backfoot. After Rana completed his 50 off 37 balls, Tripathi brought up his in 27. But once Tripathi was out T Natarajan, Rashid Khan put a check on the scoring with some fine bowling.

In the end, KKR posted 187/6 after Dinesh Karthik’s late charge with 22 off 9.
