Patel has set a new record by India pacer as he equalled the previous record with CSK allrounder Dwayne Bravo for most wickets in the IPL season. RCB pace spearhead Harshal has continued to weave magic with the ball. The purple cap holder now has 32 wickets in 15 matches. However, he missed the opportunity to create another record as in his last over, Devdutt Padikkal dropped a catch which denied him his 33rd wicket.
KKR beat RCB – Talking about the dropped catch in the post-match press conference Harshal said,” I think I am very happy with what I have been able to achieve. Very happy with how I contributed to the wins. However, records are not something that I look at. I the context of the game that wicket could have proved vital for us. In terms of the game that was important but in terms of records it does not matter for me.”
“I have tried my best to create a culture where youngsters could come in & play with freedom & belief.I have given 120% to RCB every time, which is something I will now do as a player.”

KKR beat RCB – Sunil Narine’s four-wicket haul and 26-run knock helped KKR defeat RCB by four wickets in their Eliminator encounter of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 here at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Monday. With this defeat, Virat Kohli’s road as captain in the cash-rich league has ended as he had earlier announced that he would be stepping down as the leader of RCB after the ongoing edition. KKR will now face Delhi Capitals in Qualifier 2 on Wednesday at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
“We are all disappointed after the loss and the way we finished the tournament. The way we were playing I think we should have finished in the top 2 but as we all know it’s a game of little margin. In hindsight, you feel that you could have done things differently but after qualify, all four teams are at the same level. But at the same time, we are very proud of the way we played the game on the league stage,” Harshal said.
