Unbeaten Kiwis fly to Dharamshala for India vs New Zealand World Cup clash

India vs New Zealand could very well decide the top spot at WC 2023 points table.

Team New Zealand has jet off to Dharamshala today. They took flight from Chennai. In the capital city of Tamil Nadu, Tom Latham-led side defeated Afghanistan in a close encounter yesterday (October 18). Kiwis sans Kane Williamson next assignment in ODI World Cup 2023 is against hosts India at Himachal Pradesh Association Stadium in Dharamshala. The India vs New Zealand (IND vs NZ) clash is set to be held on Sunday (October 22).

Team New Zealand is in full spirit as they reach the next stop of their journey, Dharamshala. Blackcaps remain unbeaten in ODI World Cup 2023.

On Wednesday, to defeat Afghanistan in their ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup match at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, New Zealand successfully defended 288/6.

At 110/4 in the first innings, the Black Caps seemed to be in some difficulty as a strong start was disrupted by three quick wickets.

But because to some shoddy fielding by Afghanistan, New Zealand was able to reach a difficult total thanks to a partnership of 144 between Glenn Phillips (71) and Tom Latham (68).

Likewise, New Zealand’s fast bowlers limited Afghanistan’s chasing effort by taking several wickets, while Mitchell Santner stood out both on the pitch and in the field.

With four victories out of four and the greatest net run rate in the competition, victory moves New Zealand to the top of the standings, while Afghanistan will try to recover when they play Pakistan on Monday.

Their next task will be humongous as they face India in the Himalayas. India vs New Zealand could very well decide the top spot at WC 2023 points table.
