Kohli completed his century in the 42nd over of the first innings. As stated above, the 35-year-old achieved his 50th ODI century, overtaking Sachin Tendulkar. The moment became more special as Kohli not only reached the landmark in front of his cricketing idol but also at the venue where he carried Tendulkar on his shoulders after the 2011 World Cup.
