New Zealand will have no other option but field a depleted side when they take on Pakistan in the 5-match T20I series starting in Rawalpindi on April 18. New Zealand were already without 9 players due to IPL, now fast bowler Adam Milne and opening batter Finn Allen has also been ruled out due to injuries. Cricket fans of Pakistan were furious with Kane Williamson and co for prioritising IPL over the T20 series.
Several New Zealand players such as Kane Williamson, Trent Boult, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra, Mitchell Santner will be missing the T20I series as they are busy playing in IPL.
Moreover Will Young (county cricket), Tom Latham (paternity) will also be unable to take part in the tour.
