A dejected England cricket team skipper Jos Buttler credited India’s outstanding performance that saw them through to the finals of the T20 World Cup. India outplayed England right from ball number one to avoid a re-run of happened in the semi-final in 2022. Buttler admitted that they were outplayed by India, adding that the conditions were different. He also gave a shoutout to his teammates for their performance in the marquee tournament.

“India certainly outplayed us. We let them get 20-25 runs too many. It was a challenging surface that they played well on. They fully deserved this win,” Buttler said at the post-match presentation.
