Jofra Archer’s ‘behave’ tweet resurfaces after Sanjay Manjrekar’s warning to crowd at MI vs RR clash

An old tweet of Jofra Archer recently resurfaced online on the backdrop of Sanjay Manjrekar's "behave" remark in MI vs RR game

Sanjay Manjrekar’s on-air plea for the Wankhede Stadium crowd to “behave” during the toss between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) set social media alight. The comment came as fans booed Hardik Pandya after their non-acceptance of him being the new MI skipper.

Interestingly, Jofra Archer, a former MI player, has found himself back in the spotlight. A 2014 tweet from Archer resurfaced online, where he too used the word “behave” – though the context remains unclear.

The coincidence has sparked amusement and debate on social media platforms.

Never give up: Hardik Pandya after MI’s loss to RR

Rajasthan Royals outplayed Mumbai Indians in all the departments in the recent IPL 2024 match at Wankhede Stadium. A Trent Boult’s fiery opening spell (3/22) first restricted the hosts to 125/9 before Riyan Parag’s sensational half-century sealed the deal for the visitors with 27 balls to spare.

But Hardik Pandya posted a picture of the Mumbai Indians team in the huddle on X. The new MI skipper reassured the supporters that the team will keep fighting.

Pandya, who won his first three games as a skipper for the Gujarat Titans (GT), has started his comeback to MI on a worst possible note. Aside from the constant jeers he has faced on and off the field, his side have been the only winless side so far in IPL 2024.

Apart from the unwanted results, some of Pandya’s captaincy decisions have also come under scrutiny on regular basis thus. His next awaits in the form of the Delhi Capitals, who will face MI at the Wankhede Stadium on April 7.
