Jasprit Bumrah has singlehandedly put India in the driver’s seat. The Indian spearhead’s splendid display with the ball saw him run through the England bowling team. His masterclass saw them restricted to 253 after Ben Stokes and Co. dominated the first session of the second day of the India vs England 2nd Test.
After becoming the quickest Indian pacer to 150 Test wickets and taking his maiden 6-wicket haul in India, the pacer recognized the magnitude of Joe Root’s wicket and labeled it as his favorite wicket.
“Joe Root’s wicket was my favorite,” said Bumrah to JioCinema after the end of the day’s play.
On how he used reverse swing to get Root, Ben Stokes, Ollie Pope, and Jonny Bairstow, Jasprit Bumrah said:
“When you bowl reverse, people try to bowl magical deliveries every other ball. You have to be patient with that. Have to set the batters up. Have to use deliveries wisely. Can’t just bowl inswing outswing, inswing outswing. After that Pope delivery, I had in mind they’ll be looking out for the inswinger.“
