In LPL 2023, the five teams – Colombo Strikers, Dambulla Aura, Galle Titans, Jaffna Kings, B-Love Kandy – will play each other twice each in a double round-robin league format, between July 30 and August 15. These will be followed by the usual Qualifiers 1 and 2, the Eliminator, and the final. There is a reserve day for the final, on August 16.
As mentioned above, Jaffna are the defending champions in the tournament. The Jaffna franchise has won the previous editions (once as Stallions, twice as Kings). They beat the Galle franchise in the first two finals and the Colombo one in the third.
