India women’s cricket team’s Asian Games preparation camp at NCA concluded today in Bengaluru. The Harmanpreet-led side began their 4-day camp from September 13.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared photos from the training session on their social media accounts.

Jemimah Rodrigues and Smriti Mandhana were few players who batted in nets on the final day of the preparatory camp.

Notably, the women’s team will depart for Hangzhou, China early on September 17 for Asian Games 2023 that begins on September 19.

The women’s matches will be held from 19th to 28th September. Meanwhile, the men’s team will depart on September 25 as their event begins on September 26 in Hangzhou.

All the matches will be held in T20 format. Both the men’s and women’s Team will take part in the tournament directly from the Quarterfinals stage.

Women’s team skipper Harmanrpreet Kaur, who will serve a 2-match ban, can be part of the event if India reaches the finals.

Standbys: Harleen Deol, Kashvee Gautam, Sneh Rana, Saika Ishaque, Pooja Vastrakar.
