Jaydev Unadkat dedicates Ranji Trophy win to Cheteshwar Pujara
Jaydev Unadkat lead the team from the front with a 9 wicket haul in the final. The left-arm pacer picked up a 6-fer in the second innings which turned the match in Saurashtra’s favour.
Following the win, the 31-year-old showed a warm gesture dedicating the trophy to Cheteshwar Pujara. Speaking to Espncricinfo he said, “As I said before, it’s a fitting tribute to one of Saurashtra’s favourite sons, Chintu (Cheteshwar Pujara).”
The Saurashtra skipper further spoke about the importance of winning the Ranji Trophy. He said, “Three trophies in three years prove that we have been doing a lot of things right. We have set a tone. I’m really proud of what this team has achieved. It’s not just about winning trophies but creating a legacy for our team, which will leave a bigger impact on cricket in the region.”
