The MI pacer’s stellar record in IPL 2024 is second to none when compared to top bowlers in the world or even his own teammates in IPL. With an economy rate of 6.25, the veteran pacer has been outstanding so far in the tournament and is also the leading wicket taker.

Jasprit Bumrah outshines other MI bowlers, top bowlers in the world

So far in 11 matches, Bumrah has taken 17 wickets and is the leading wicket-getter for Mumbai in IPL 2024. The next best MI bowler is Gerald Coetzee, who has taken 13 wickets but has an astonishing economy rate of 10.17. Skipper Hardik Pandya has taken 8 wickets so far and has an economy rate of 11.

Spinner Piyush Chawla has 5 wickets to his name, with an economy rate of 9.25. Akash Madhwal too has 5 wickets to his name and an economy rate of 11.28. Nuwan Thushara has bagged only four wickets so far while Shreyas Gopal has three scalps to his name.

When it comes to other bowlers, only Sunil Narine has managed to keep his economy rate in the same class as Bumrah. The KKR spinner has taken 11 wickets and boasts of an economy rate of 6.86. SRH skipper Pat Cummins has taken 11 wickets at an economy rate of 9.05. Kagiso Rabada has an ecomony rate of 8.92 while Trent Boult stands at 7.86. IPL’s richest-buy Mitchell Starrc has a horrendous economy rate of 11.78.
