Jasprit Bumrah’s fiery spell brought India back into the game as he dismissed Sam Konstas in style.

The battle between India and Australia heated up on the fourth day of the IND vs AUS Test in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Just like every Test, Jasprit Bumrah brings the first breakthrough for the Indian Team with Sam Konstas’ wicket in the second innings. After the wicket, he celebrated it in a unique way, mimicking the batter.

Bumrah takes the challenge against Konstas

In the seventh over of Australia’s second innings, Bumrah delivered a sensational ball to dismiss debutant Sam Konstas. Bowling a good-length delivery around off stump, Bumrah got the ball to swing in sharply. The young opener, attempting to defend, left a gap between bat and pad, allowing the ball to sneak through and crash into the stumps. It was a jaffa, showing Bumrah’s exceptional skills.

Bumrah’s rare fiery celebration

After dismissing Konstas, Bumrah celebrated in a rare animated manner, gesturing to rally the crowd. This unique reaction was seen as a response to Konstas’ earlier celebration after dismissing Virat Kohli. Known for his calm demeanor, Bumrah seemed to let out his emotions in this charged atmosphere, adding to the intensity of the match.

Nitish Kumar Reddy’s herocis kept India in the match

Talking about the match, following a strong start from Australia, India mounted a comeback to keep their hopes alive in this exciting Test. Australia’s Strong Start and India’s Fightback Australia set a formidable target with 474 runs in their first innings. In response, India showed a tough fight, with Nitish Reddy spearheading the effort.
