India’s premium pacer Jasprit Bumrah has moved to the 4th position on the ICC rankings for bowlers in Test. Making an impressive comeback in the two-match IND vs SA series, Bumrah’s performance allowed him to close in on the top three ranks in the rankings.
Bumrah overtakes Jadeja in Test rankings
Bumrah went past prolific all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja to move to the 4th position. Jadeja is now the 5th ranked Test bowler. Meanwhile, Cape Town hero Mohammed Siraj made a huge leap as he moved by 13 spots to register his career best rank at 17th.
Ravichandran Ashwin continues to occupy the top spot, with Australia skipper Pat Cummins behind him. Cummins had a brilliant outing in the PAK vs AUS Test series, grabbing three consecutive fifers as he led his team from the front to hand a 3-0 drubbing to Shan Masood and co.
Kagiso Rabada slipped to the third spot after the Proteas drew the two-match Test series with the Men in Blue 1-1. Australia’s Josh Hazlewood, who also featured in the PAK vs AUS series, climbed up four sports to hold the joint 7th position with James Anderson.
