Jasprit Bumrah not injured, had just "cramps": India bowling coach Morne Morkel gives good news, adds that he still went on to get wickets

India head coach Morne Morkel clarified that India pacer Jasprit Bumrah has not been injured and that he had just suffered cramps on Day 2 of IND vs AUS 2nd Test. It looked like the Indian vice-captain had sustained a minor injury after he went down in between an over and the physio had rushed in to attend to him. Addressing the concerns, Morkel pointed out that Bumrah had continued to bowl even after the incident, noting that he was fine.

During the 80th over of the Aussie innings, Bumrah seemed to pick up an injury. On the third delivery of the over, centurion Travis Head cleared him for a four, and soon after that, Bumrah just paused, while going back to his mark. Even though the bowler got up after a bit of treatment and stretching, but then he didn’t look at his best.

By far, Jasprit Bumrah has been the best bowler for India, bagging 11 wickets in the two matches that have been played so far. In fact, in the Adelaide Test too, he has the best bowling figures among any other Indian bowler. So far, in the 20 overs he has bowled, he has returned with figures of 3/53.
