Express pacer Jasprit Bumrah joined the likes of Shane Warne and Colin Blythe for having most Test wickets as a visiting bowler in Cape Town. After scalping two wickets in the first innings, Jasprit Bumrah absolutely demolished South Africa in the second innings.
The right-arm pacer scalped all the four Proteas wickets that fell in the first session of Day 2. Courtesy of those four wickets, the 30-year-old Indian bowler completed his ninth five-wicket haul in his 32nd Test.
Speaking more about his spell on Day 2, Bumrah took the wickets of David Bedingham, Kyle Verreynne, Marco Jansen and Keshav Maharaj to notch the five-wicket haul. The right-arm pacer is currently third in the list of leading wicket-takers for India in Tests against South Africa. Veterans Anil Kumble (45 wickets) and Javagal Srinath (43 wickets) are India’s top two bowlers in the Rainbow country.
Apart from Jasprit Bumrah, Mukesh Kumar also bowled with good control as he scalped two wickets. On the other hand, Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna also scalped one wicket each as the home side have just one wicket left in their bank in the second innings of the match.
