Mumbai Indians premium pacer Jasprit Bumrah has linked up with the rest of the squad ahead of their home game against RCB on Monday. The bowler was recovering from a back injury at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. Bumrah picked up the injury towards the end of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy that subsequently saw him being ruled out of Champions Trophy and the start of IPL 2025.
Bumrah links up with MI squad
As per ESPNCricinfo, Bumrah has joined the MI squad ahead of their game against RCB at the Wankhede stadium. However, the report states that there is no clarity on his availability for selection immediately.
In a video uploaded by Mumbai Indians on their social media handles, Bumrah is seen greeting teammate Trent Boult. To a question from the Kiwi on how is his body, he answers, “Good good. Finally got the clearance.”

Earlier, reports stated that Bumrah will undergo two match simulations to see how his body reacts to the grind of professional cricket. If he aces these tests, BCCI will grant him the permission to join the MI camp.
