“Yes, he is recovering well. He will be back for Australia series. He will report back to NCA later this month. Once the medical team assess his condition, the selectors will take a call on whether he will feature in the series against Sri Lanka next month. While there is no clear timeline for his return, Bumrah could be seen at the start of the new year in the series against SriLanka. The fast bowler was scheduled to be fit by the Australia tour of India but has recovered well in time for a January return. Him bowling full strength is a clear indication of him being back to his best. With Shami also ruled out with injury, Bumrah’s return becomes all the more crucial.
