Jasprit Bumrah: Bumrah and Sanjana celebrate their second marriage anniversary, and Pacer begins to road to recovery after back surgery
Recently, the team India pacer had back surgery in New Zealand. Bumrah will require at least six months to recover, putting himself in doubt for the ICC 50 over World Cup. As per the latest reports, following his surgery, Bumrah is fine and is currently on his road to undergoing a full recovery. The apex cricket body of the country, i.e the BCCI, however, denied giving any statement or report on the cricketer. The Indian pacer was operated by Dr. Rowan Schouten, at the Forte Orthopaedics Hospital in Christchurch.
Reports further claim that Rowan Schouten’s name was suggested to the BCCI by ex-Kiwi international Shane Bond. The former Kiwi pacer serves as the bowling coach for IPL-based side Mumbai Indians. Now that the surgery is done and dusted, Bumrah is set for a long recovery span.
With 6 months of suggested time, it can be estimated that Bumrah might take the nets by August. With the Asia Cup set to commence in September, under no circumstance can he take part in the tournament. However, the biggest tournament, i.e, the ICC World Cup is what Bumrah will be aiming for.
