The South African bowling unit was right on money in the IND vs SA 1st Test to ensure India’s dreams of winning their maiden Test series in South Africa remains a dream. The Proteas pace attack led by Kagiso Rabada bulldozed through the Indian batting line-up in the 1st Test, ensuring South Africa go in to the Cape Town Test with an advantage in the series.
Nandre Burger looked an elite fast bowler in the match. Playing his first Test, the quick bowler maintained perfect length and line as Indian batters struggled to keep up with his rising deliveries. Burger finished with an impressive seven wickets in the match, and the bowler would be looking to maintain the form in the IND vs SA 2nd Test as well.
“I don’t think I’d want to do that, but … I can’t describe how that feels and I never want to experience that. It’s nice to be able to strike fear into someone, if I can put it that way,” Burger said, as quoted by Cricbuzz.
