Rajasthan Royals scripted a sensational win to register the highest successful chase in IPL history. Jos Buttler’s majestic century broke Kolkata Knight Riders ‘hearts. After the IPL game, Rovman Powell heaped huge praises for the Englishman.
“It was a very good innings. Very well calculated and important for someone to bat to the final ball. It is important for an opener to bat all 20 overs. It was a worldclass innings and well job in picking his bowlers and picking his time to score,” said Rovman Powell after the game.

The Kolkata Knight Riders batted first and went on to put up a massive total on the board. Sunil Narine’s century saw the hosts piling up 223 runs on the board. But for Rajasthan Royals it was a one man show. As wickets started to tumble one after another, the England captain continued with his onslaught.
“After batting 15-16 overs, on that wicket, then he knew he was the man to carry the game for us,” Powell added.
In the end, Buttler remained unbeaten on 107 from just 60 deliveries. He blasted his way to slam 9 fours and 6 sixes to help RR win their 6th game of the season.
“I told him to relax. I was going to eat a few sixes as he wasn’t able to. When I would get out then he would have continued hitting,” Powell concluded.
