Coyle recently led the Red Miners to the ISL League Winners’ Shield glory for the first time in the history of the club. While the team went out on a whimper in the playoffs, losing 2-1 in aggregate against Kerala Blasters, the Jamshedpur management were keen to retain the Scottish manager for another season. That, however, looks impossible now, as Coyle has already made his mind up to leave India.

According to reports in The Courier, the 55-year-old tactician has decided to join Queen’s Park – a Scottish team that are currently playing in the third division in the country. The Spiders are without a full-time manager since sacking Laurie Ellis on 31st December, and interim manager Marijn Beuker is currently in charge of the proceedings.

The team is currently occupying the fourth position in the Scottish League One standings and will rope in Coyle in a bid to guarantee their promotion to the Scottish Championship, come to the end of the season.

Before coming to India, Coyle managed many reputed clubs in the likes of Blackburn Rovers, Burnley and Wigan Athletic. He joined Chennaiyin back in 2019 and after a season with the Marina Machans, joined Jamshedpur FC back in 2020. In the past year and a half, the Scotsman has managed 42 games for the Red Miners, of which his team has emerged victoriously on 20 occasions.
