Ishan Kishan’s cryptic 2-word post fuels speculation over Team India comeback

India comeback on the cards for Ishan Kishan? Southpaw adds fuel to fire on speculations after slamming ton in Duleep Trophy

Ishan Kishan has been a class apart in the Duleep Trophy. The ace southpaw ended his domestic cricket exile when he played for India C hammering a stunning 111 run knock. Following the game, he took to social media to post a cryptic 2-word post. And now the post which has just two words ‘Unfinished Business’ has started to fuel speculation over his Team India comeback.

Ishan Kishan was snubbed off from the BCCI Central Contract list after failing to play domestic cricket. The Jharkhand batter remained aloof and didn’t play a single Ranji Trophy match. He practiced alone at the Kiran More Academy before playing for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2023.

Comeback on the Cards?

But now he made a return to domestic cricket, playing for India C in the Duleep Trophy. And on his opening game, he stole the headlines with a blistering century.

It is safe to say that a comeback can be on the cards for Ishan Kishan. Previously Shreyas Iyer too made his comeback in ODIs after his BCCI Central Contract snub under Gautam Gambhir. And now after Ishan Kishan’s fine form in domestic cricket, he can get a call up in the IND vs BAN T20Is.

It will mainly owing to BCCI’s workload management. Quite a few key players in the team are likely to be rested before the IND vs NZ Tests, this can include Rishabh Pant. Kishan can easily accommodate his spot in the team. And now with his confidence and cryptic post, Kishan has made it clear that he still has unfinished business.
