Roadblock in Ishan Kishan’s India comeback
Kishan had been asked by the selectors to resume playing domestic red-ball cricket in order to be in contention for a spot in India’s Test side. However, with this injury, the situation becomes more complex for Kishan. He was excluded from the BCCI’s Central Contracts list earlier this year after he refused to participate in the Ranji Trophy. That resulted in the keeper-batter being sidelined so far, including the T20 World Cup, IND vs ZIM and IND vs SL series.
The injury comes as an additional blow to Kishan who already faces a steep challenge in making his India return.
